Fiona Rae

While trying to write the post about an artist who I've actually seen within the past two days, I kept finding myself distracted by the work of another artist-- the fresh, darling Fiona Rae. Rae is showing at Pace on 57th Street right now (also showing at Pace spaces around the city-- Kiki Smith and Joel Shapiro, mustgosoon!) and has some of the most enjoyable paintings I've come across in a while.

While 'enjoyable' isn't my usual hook for admiring an artist, it is a nice send off from a busy Friday to a happy weekend. That's all. Enjoy your Saturdays :)
